Chai Baby had been out on his own for over 4 months with some kind souls watching out for him. He appears to be an indoor cat that has been abandoned and left to his own means outside.
With Fall around the corner and the cold winter months soon upon us, some kind neighbors have been feeding him the last few weeks in the hopes of giving him a little boost to survive the winter. He is very thin and malnourished. Sadly neighborhood cats have been fighting with him and it was noticed that he now has injuries. A couple of very kind people managed to trap him and have brought him to our shelter in Oct 2024.
Chai Baby was in quarantine for 2 weeks and then to the vet for a check up. In the meantime we attended to his wounds.
UPDATE: Feb 2025: Chai Baby has been given a clean bill of health. He had been diagnosed with ear mites and 2 different ear infections and malnourished. We have since "chubbied" him up as much as we can, treated his ears, re-homed the mites and given him a new tattoo for easy identification. He is a neutered elderly gentleman looking for a warm lap and happy home with lots of love, a warm sunny window to snooze in, a quiet family to talk to and no worries.
He appears to be part Siamese with his coloring and considering his age, just wants to live out his life in a loving, caring and warm home with people around him who care that he is taken care of.
