We encourage everyone to visit with us and spend some time in our facility – whether you are in the market to adopt or not.  Unfortunately due to Covid 19 and on the advice of Alberta Health Services we are open by appointment only until further notice.”

We may limit the number of visitors at our discretion.  Cats and dogs are very susceptible to change, stress and disruption.

If we feel there are a maximum number of visitors at any given time during the day we may opt to limit the number of visitors coming in at the time.  We also, at our discretion will monitor the behavior of our visitors and should we find that the visitors are creating stress and anxiety for our animals, we reserve the right to ask those visitors to vacate the facility.

We ask that all visitors show respect for the animals.

This is their home, not yours!  They want and expect to feel safe and protected.  All children, regardless of age, must be under control; not acting in an unruly manner or being excessively loud during their visit.  No chasing or harassing the animals.  No climbing on cat towers, throwing toys around or generally being disruptive.

Please understand – every animal who has come into our shelter has more than likely not had an ideal previous life and as our Mission states, we are the voice for those who cannot speak for themselves.  We promise them a quiet and comfortable space to live and will protect them from upset, disruption and keep them safe.

Unfortunately we are not in a position to accommodate groups of children.  We find that a large group can be quite stressful in our open environment.  We also are NOT able to or willing to transport any of our residents (dogs or cats) to group gatherings such as birthday parties or school assemblies.  Some rare exceptions may be considered.
