Chewie was found in a pet carrier next to a dumpster behind an apartment building in Blairmore. Someone moved out and just left her with some “other household odds and ends” they didn't want!!
She is very affectionate and appreciates a lot of love and attention. With a very calm and quiet personality she didn’t have any problem fitting in with all the other cats and volunteers - at first. After a short time we realized that although very loving, Chewie has a preference of being the sole center of attention and has little tolerance for the other cats should they come around.
One on one Chewie is a lovely girl. She has a soothing purr always at the ready and craves a lap of her own with no distractions. Even though her beautiful coat is long, we have found very few mats and when we do, Chewbacca is quite comfortable in having them removed.
This beautiful little girl would make someone a purr-fect couch companion. From our time with Chewie we have found out that she has likely always been the only cat in the household and we feel she would do well in a home without other pets or small children.
Chewie has "cat-itude" and will swat you when she has had enough attention - without her claws coming into play!
